DecantBot, the page reader.

What it is

DecantBot is the reader Decant uses when someone asks it to read one public web page. It fetches that one page once, follows at most three redirects and runs no JavaScript.

How it identifies itself

Its user agent is "DecantBot/1.0 (+https://decant.forevenza.com/bot/)".

robots.txt

It reads your robots.txt before the page and honours the group for DecantBot, or the * group when there is none. To refuse it everything, add:

User-agent: DecantBot
Disallow: /

What it will not fetch

Private, internal and loopback addresses, and addresses that resolve to them, are refused before any request.

Who runs it

Decant is operated by Tempered Technologies LLC, 8 The Green STE B, Dover, DE 19901. Questions: privacy@forevenza.com.
